What is Visa Secure?
Visa Secure adds an extra check at online checkout to make sure the person using a Visa card is the real owner. When enabled, the system may ask shoppers to enter a one-time code, approve via their banking app, or use a fingerprint scan before the sale completes.
Originally called Verified by Visa, this feature runs mostly behind the scenes. Only when something seems unusual will it prompt for proof of identity—keeping genuine purchases fast while cutting down on fraud and disputed charges.
